Nicolai Tan

Nicolai has provided financial modelling services, transaction advisory, model audit and financial modelling training across a broad range of sectors and clients. He has a particular expertise in the traditional renewable energy and energy transition sectors, where he has led numerous engagements across greenfield and M&A transactions, and modelling engagements.

His work includes leading development of appraisal models for renewable energy projects globally, transaction modelling and bid support for a portfolio of UK co-location projects, a transaction model for the financing of a portfolio of solar projects in Chile. Corporate modelling experience includes models for Cadent Gas, Reden Solar and Acciona Energia Internacional. He has also developed operational models for the largest solar PV plant in Spain, a single asset UK battery storage operational model, a portfolio model for French solar assets and the refinancing of a suite of windfarms in Ireland.

Most recently Nicolai was leading the development of a green hydrogen appraisal model for one of the UK’s leading gas utilities, as well acting as M&A advisory lead to Lazard Asset Management on its acquisition of an operational anaerobic digestion project in the UK and supported the acquisition of a district heating developer and operator in the UK.

Nicolai is also a highly experienced trainer and has delivered financial modelling training courses for our clients globally.
