Evolution Infrastructure is proud to have supported Cero Generation on the financial close of a portfolio of three UK-based solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects, securing a ~£200 million financing package from a consortium of leading lenders including Rabobank, NordLB, Santander UK, and ING.
The initial portfolio, developed by Cero Generations UK development partner, Enso Energy, comprises 360MW of combined capacity across Solar PV and BESS co-located assets, all of which are aligned with the EU Taxonomy for sustainable activities, structured as a Green Loan, underscoring their contribution to climate change mitigation and high environmental standards. The financing includes an accordion facility to accommodate further projects from Cero’s UK pipeline.
The Bramley Solar Project, the first of the three projects to commence construction in Autumn 2025, will deliver 115MW of co-located solar and storage. Cero Generation is working with EDF, LONGi, Sungrow, Metlen, and Omexom to deliver the project, alongside its UK development partner Enso Energy. Together, the portfolio will create local jobs, economic value, and provide a £50,000 community fund to support regional initiatives.
Cero Generation are a leading European solar energy developer. With over a 25GW solar & storage portfolio and further generation capability added each year, their vision is to ensure that this and every generation has access to clean, reliable, cost-effective renewable energy.
Charlie Wood, Associate at Evolution Infrastructure, said:

Cero’s clear focus on sustainable infrastructure, delivered to the highest environmental standards and aligned with EU Taxonomy, makes this a standout example of the energy transition in action as well as Evolution Infrastructure’s commitment to supporting projects in this space. Congratulations to all parties involved.”
