EvoInfra acted as financial advisor to Invesis on its acquisition of a 100% stake in UK-based Asanti Datacentres.
The deal sees Asanti simultaneously acquire five Regional Edge data centres from Daisy Group, one of the UK’s largest providers of communications and IT solutions. As a result, Invesis has secured an immediate and significant presence within the UK data centre market. Invesis is now the 100 per cent owner of Asanti and will support Asanti with their plans for growth and further development in the sector.
Invesis’ entry into the UK data centre market is part of its strategy to diversify its investment portfolio into core plus sectors, including the wider digital infrastructure market, water infrastructure and renewable energy generation and storage.
Andrew Wood, Director and project lead at EvoInfra said: “We are delighted to have supported Invesis on its inaugural investment in the UK data centre sector, this engagement adds to our growing experience in the digital infrastructure sector”
Chris Williams, Invesis CEO said: “Industry experts are forecasting an explosion in the demand for regional edge data centres and Asanti, with these initial five data centres, is well positioned to respond to this demand. This is an important first step in our digital infrastructure investment journey, diversifying the Invesis portfolio and providing a platform for growth in the digital infrastructure sector. The Asanti acquisition is very much part of our vision – to transform lives in the communities we serve through sustainable infrastructure.”
