Job Description

Due to continued growth in our core modelling and model audit services, EvoInfra is thrilled to announce the next step of its journey by expanding its presence to India.

We are seeking experienced hires to work across both our financial modelling and final model audit service lines, supporting our London team in delivering first class financial models and assurance services to our global client base.

The role will involve utilising your problem-solving and analytical skills combined with your sector knowledge to:

  • Develop detailed design specifications for a range of infrastructure projects, prior to developing robust, user-friendly financial models for a variety of applications; and
  • Provide assurance on the robustness, logical integrity, and accuracy of complex financial models, as well as consistency of model assumptions with project documentation.

The role will Initially be a remote working role prior to becoming a hybrid role on the establishment of our new office. Significant relevant experience in a similar role is a pre-requisite.

The role requires attention to detail, an analytical mindset, and working to tight deadlines. The level of responsibility you will be given will only be limited by your willingness to learn and to take on new challenges. As your familiarity with best practice financial modelling increases, the opportunity will arise to take on client facing responsibilities, such as responding to client queries and taking a more active role in meetings.

Duties & Experience

Duties

The responsibilities for this role are focused on financial modelling. We are not only however seeking individuals who are technically proficient, but we are seeking those who are commercially astute and able to apply themselves to wider business initiatives. The key responsibilities are:

  • Working with senior members in the London team to scope, design and develop complex financial models for financing transactions and operational infrastructure assets and companies
  • Responding to day-to-day queries raised by clients and other advisers in respect of these financial models and participation in client meetings
  • Auditing complex financial models using a ‘cell-by-cell’ audit methodology, performing analytical review and checking consistency of inputs and calculations to project documentation
  • Helping to establish and grow EvoInfra India office, recruiting, training and managing more junior staff
Experience

We are looking for talented and well-rounded individuals, although there is no ‘correct’ background, the following experience is helpful in ensuring you are fully equipped for the role:

  • Minimum 2:1 undergraduate degree from a strong university in a science, engineering or maths based degree (exceptional candidates without such qualifications will be considered);
  • Minimum of 5 years’ prior experience gained in an accountancy or consulting firm developing bespoke financial models for infrastructure assets and providing model audit and assurance services
  • Previous experience of corporate/project finance transactions or Excel-based financial models, or a finance/accounting qualification, is valued but not required

Some key skills we look for are:

  • Experience and desire to use Microsoft Excel as a tool for problem solving
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, combined with sound commercial awareness
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Well-developed communication skills (verbal and written English)
  • Ability to operate effectively as part of a small project team
  • Ability to quickly grasp complex concepts and convey these succinctly, clearly, and confidently
  • Comfortable developing solutions where client requirements are unclear, or where these change at short notice
