EvoInfra provided finanical modelling support to Encyclis on developing an operational model for the Protos ERF project.
Protos will provide 500,000 tonnes of annual treatment capacity for non-recyclable waste when it becomes operational.
The facility, currently under construction in a joint development by Encyclis and Biffa, is located near Ellesmere Port in Cheshire, within the Protos strategic energy and resource hub.
In processing non-recyclable residual waste, the Protos ERF will generate up to 49 megawatts of electricity – enough to power 90,000 UK homes.
